I know I will be in as well...as long as I am allowed. I cant buy any more from Chip, as I already have his entire collection, both aircraft and buildings, And I just got the Update DVD.

So, if one of the requirments is to purchase a new FG model, it would be technically impossible for me to compete!

Ditto, I assume the theme is of a FG model and not a re-make.
I agree a few add-on such as rigging is cool.:DRick

I'm with Chris, lets have two contest levels....stockers and C modified.....(which is where my poor Jag 120 wound up after the tech inspectors decided to take a closer look after the first race it ran in, lo these many years ago). I have no problems with adding framework and other structural support, even in the stock category....there are many of the FG kits that simply aren't worth the effort without some help there, and it detracts little if at all from the original FG look. And, once one starts adding cockpit tubs and whatever else may be needed for an interior, you have in effect added interior structural supports.

hey! I just had an idea! How about this, if you already have the whole collection, why not set up a new account and but a model of equal or greater value than the one that you want to build?

I like the two-level idea as well, or even three.

Stock
Improved
Customized

I did too, and that's great that you will do 2 builds, that way I can sub the frame w/bamboo. Just purchased the Santos Dumont No 20 Demoiselle. Now a trip to Bass Pro for the rigging material as was brought out by a wonderful tutorial here. Watch for this one, I have finally found a plane small enough to use a set of Hugaford balsa wheels. I have talked about these before. I have been studying and by-gum I do believe I can put a Gasprin micro C02 motor on this puppy too. Now see what you done gone and did!!!!!!!!!!
