I know I love that feeling too, but this time I had no choice.

Well, Rick knows that I am, like Dan, a die hard Red Wings fan. He also knows that I still hold resentment to the Flyers since the '97 Stanley Cup playoffs. Yes, it's sad, I know. I did say once, that I was rooting for the Flyers over the icky Penguins. That holds true to this day.

But in this case, I gotta go for the Hawks. Central division rivals to the Wings, but they're due. LONG over due. Rick, I wish you luck on your build. Dan, I would so dearly have loved to see you build a Gordon car though. I've built a number of them myself. They look good with my die cast collection :p

My biggest dilemma since Chicago and Philadelphia are in is which did I enjoy the most in the respective city:
Chicago Italian beef, dipped
or
Philly cheese steak, wit
?
Mmmmmmmm goooooooood!! :D

Really Rick, Such Drivel...

Rick,

You should be ashamed of yourself! Bringing up such low life activity (hockey) on this, the erudite, the aforemost edition of all existing hobbies. How dare you stain our collective reputation with such drivel, such pulp, such expletive deletive minutiae. I implore you to avoid in the future using such muscle-headed plop in the course of events on this site..

Signed, Lost A. Plombly

I am certain that Mr. A. Plombly would have a different attitude if the San Jose Sharks were in the cup playoffs. Some of the local fans in San Jose are considering whether the "Choker" is really a fish name though some are signing up for "Flounder"....

Following the Betting Money, +Gil

Finns win either way - goalie Niemi against Leino and Timonen. My bet is on Niemi and as an added bonus his from my current hometown Vantaa. Go Hawks go!

Well, 2-0 Chicago and heading back to Philly. The 'Hawk's have only lost 1 game on the road the whole playoffs and have generally played a much better game on the road - so I'm quietly confident about how this one is going to go

On a side note - I wish the NHL would fire every ref and linesman and start over, there are so many phantom and missed penalties, missed offsides and mis-calls on icings that it's ridiculous. At times it makes the game almost unwatchable.

Sorry, guys. I would never reveal to you in public who I am cheering for. All I will tell you is that Toews is from my hometown (Winnipeg). Have a great day! Dave

Congrats to the Blackhawks, a great goal in Overtime.

Ok, Dan, what kit will it be?

Rick
