Sketchup sketchbook

Just some stuff I'm thinking about. Not necessarily going to make these into paper models, but you never know.

This one was based on the old Guild Hall design, with lots of stuff added:

This one is a re-imagining of the old Jumble House:

Nice looking house. I'm playing with Sketchup a lot lately. Trying to figure out how to implement it into my engineering class. Sounds easy, but most of my 6th graders haven't used it yet.

How do you find Sketchup compared to what you were designing in before, Dave?

I wasn't using any 3D software to come up with models before. I just did it in my head or made a rough sketch by hand, and started right in Photoshop as 2D. I still do most of my models that way, just going straight to Photoshop.

SketchUp's architecture mode is pretty easy, if you're motivated to use it.
