I might have to buy this just for the tractor. 30 years ago when I worked at a small airport near my home I used to drive a similar tractor, only the one we had had a cab (but no doors) and the grill opening was the North Central Airlines duck (anyone remember North Central Airlines- I do know the duck was named Herman). OK enough rambling. Please continue the thread.

Can you show me the Grill?
I'll make a special Grill Guard just for you.

By the way, the builder can cut out the grill guard slots if they want.
I have finished the front of the engine cover in yellow
with a radiator opening and (photo) radiator,
for just that occurrence.

here I go, showing stuff without scale reference again!
this pic gives you an idea of size (1/50 scale or thereabouts)

Dave thank you that's very kind of you.Sadly I have no photos of it but I do have this. The opening was in the shape of the duck.

well, proportionally that design doesn't fit very well
and without a photo or some other reference,
I have no idea how to place the "duck" cutout?

Wag...when I was stationed at Kincheloe AFB, Mich, about 20 miles south of Sault Ste Marie, I would often fly North Central Airlines to Midway in Chicago when on leave. Good old Blue Goose Airways never let me down. Don't remember the exact aircraft they flew out of there, but I remember it was a two engine affair. The flight stopped at Traverse City, Mich, before continuing to Chicago.

Dave that pic is just about how I remember it. I've been trolling the internet to try finding a similar one but so far no joy. I wish I could remember what the cab looked like.

Ashrunner, I found this site on North Central Airlines.
North Central Airlines history - hermantheduck.org - home page

Dave I hope I haven't distracted you from more important stuff like the PM.com calender.

And now....the UPDATE to the UPDATE of the UPDATE:

Once again I am closing in on the completion of this kit! LOL
Sorry...sounding a little repetitive, isn't it?!

No seriously....I am this close!

haha

Swampfox helped me sort out a few bugs in my Bomb Trailer.
Unfortunately I won't have time to do another test build, but thats okay.
Enough tweaks were done and I finally got a detailed diagram made up to help with construction.

Finished a quick test build of the Blue Air Force Jeep last night.
Quick and messy, but shows me everything seems to go where it was all intended!
Actually its the same Jeep model as used in my FollowMe Jeep,
differences being this one is Blue!
Oh, yeah...and its got a roof, rear Spare Tire and jerry can and no "Follow Me" Sign!

Last model to test build tonight, is an older but simpler, Towed Start Cart...like the one pictured below.

Only issue is I started to run out of ink last night...
I may have to fill in some colour with markers and just get the "test" build done.
if it doesn't look too bad, I'll post pics tomorrow.

So...once tonights test build is out of the way, I have only one more thing to do to complete the Kit.
I am going to add a couple of pages, of Test Build photos.
One or two small photos of each model to help as build references.

There are no instruction pages in this Kit.
Most builds are fairly straight forward with small diagrams added
to certain build components of various models.

It was suggested that photos of completed models would be a important addition.
So, I will sort this out to finalize the kit.

Hopefully the next "update" will be a release announcment? lol

as promised, the Towed Start Cart.
This is also my final "test build"

I ran out of Ink, yellow mostly, when printing the parts page for this Start Cart.
I did my best to fill in some inkless areas and blend out the colour
with Art Markers.
The basic green is what the model is, although things vary somewhat printer to printer anyway!

Its another small and fiddly model...just the way you like 'em! haha

so, now its off to add some Photo reference Pages to the kit
and create a Cover Page.
...we're almost there!

These models are all terrific, Dave, and exceptionally useful for anyone building aircraft and dioramas of the period.
