Psycho, Ron, Anne...all excellent builds.

Hopefully we'll see a few more.
And yes, we can do the Moon Rover next.

But I don't know how soon.
I have to get caught up on some other stuff like the Saladin.
And I want to get an early preparation for the Model show in 4 weeks.

Big problems here in Carlisle. The little beasties just will not fit. Will sleep on it and try again in the morning.

Sounds like good advice, VK! We have got one installed that looks okay from a distance. I will contemplate the issue over a couple of fingers of Jameson's this evening, get a good night's sleep, and Lil and I will try your recommendation and attempt the rest of the wheel covers in the morning. Meanwhile, congratulations to all who have successfully completed their Bluebirds (although we think it can't have been too big a challenge to Anne after her completion of the Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weenie Yellow Paper Lamborghini).

Well, I am concerned about the tabs you are cutting.
Obviously you should do whatever helps with your build
but I have built two complete models and I have trimmed no tabs.
(I've actually built three, but the first one I built was an incomplete white build, so it doesn't tell me anything)
Honestly, if tabs needed to be trimmed, I would agree.

Has anyone taken a photo of what they have trimmed?

Have been watching this with interest, but alas I have yet to start!

Stress and life has intruded! Maybe this weekend!

I to had the same problem with the tab. The rear most part of the long tab extends down lower than the top plane of the body. The first side went ok because the tab between the body and side was not glued very tight and the tab was able to slip down between the body and side. The other side was a different story and I had to trim the corner of the long tab to get it to sit all the way down. So long story short if you don't glue the tab between the body and the side at the wheel arch there is no problem. If you do glue the tab between the body and side than you have to trim the corner of the long tab to get it to sit all the way down. These are just my observations and what worked for me. I hope this helps.

What Psychohillbilly and VK said. Mine's glued now as well. And my limited graphic skills would keep me from making a marked-up photo in any case. But Psychohillbilly's description matches my findings.

Add my groans to your caption. But it's still in better taste than my attempts. I had read recently that when they brought the watercraft Bluebird out of the lake, they recovered Campbell's body, which was given a respectful burial -- but they never found his head. A headless ghost racedriver is the stuff of Scooby Doo legend, but not when it's true.
