As a follow up to my announcement...

I'd like to offer my services in the form of a special KoolWheelz model.
Maybe something that fits into the IPMC theme this year.

Rickstef already asked me about a model...we could consider it.
But I''d also like to hear any other suggestions.

I'll design and release a special KoolWheelz model as quickly as possible
so you IPMC guys can get it built in time..

Just my way of apologizing for missing the event,
and to say thank you for your continuing support and understanding.

.................
Goodyear Grabber Olds will be released in a day or two...
.................

in the meantime, lets hear those suggestions for a KoolWheelz model.

I hear that. If her fiancée is finishing up an apprenticeship, you can't stand in the way of that either.

Until further notice, my son has me on alternating weekends. One weekend going to my folks' farm to help out, then going to my son's for Sunday afternoon to watch my grandson so he and Darlene can get stuff done around the house. The next weekend is with them, watching the grandson, so they can get stuff done around the house. I call it a win-win, but paper modeling is going to have to take a back seat for a while. I still have to get MY stuff done around the house, you know.

Hopefully, we can all be in a place to make next year's IPMC a reality

Oh boy, that means that Ray and Dave will be together again

HEAD FOR THE HILLS.........

Dave, sorry to hear/read that you can't make it, but I can total appreciate the reasons, and like you said, there is always next year.

In the mean time, you can design more models, more t shirts, and hold more polls as to determine what model to release next

Dave (Vermin King) ...you think you might be able to show up next year (to the IPMC)?

That would be great.

I wonder if we can convince Chris Gutzmer to show up too?

But, yes, both Ray and I will be there, at the same time.
I will have my Daughter with me though...
so there will be no roughhousing!
or hog calling (Ray).

I actually thought I had it worked out for this year, but my folks are taking a vacation for two weeks, with this in the middle. So I will be farm-sitting this year.

Sorry you can't make it, Dave, but I look forward to seeing you next year.

The IPMC theme is tanks and tankers (International Paper Modelers Convention Awards Rules). Lotsa room for ingenuity. My vote would be for the modified replica Mark VIII tank used in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, but the War Rig tanker truck from Mad Max: Fury Road would also fit, as would any tanker truck real or imagined.

Tanker ships of all types also fit the theme, but they generally don't have wheelz, kool or otherwise.
