Really? Someone couldn't follow the "only vote for 2 please" request?
Another glaring stare at you!

well, it looks like we have a weiner...I mean, we have votes and some weiners!
Time to give you some new KoolWheelz models!! and that means... its time for the twist! "What twist" you say? "...he didn't say anything about a twist?! ...Martha, what twist?!" I asked you to vote on what Koolwheelz you would like to see released first. But I never said anything about which model would actually be released first. I just asked you which one you would prefer first. I am about to pull a "Nascar"! We are going to "invert the field!" (Rick Steffers told me to say it that way) The model that received the fewest votes... the least amount of interest... the kid picked last ...will be released first! And the rest, in that order, least to most voted! And based on your voting, heres the order: #2 #7 #8 #4 #6 #9 #1 #5 #3 I'll post links to my KoolWheelz thread as I publish each model. --------------------------------------- So, lets begin with Model Number 2... a model that was indirectly requested and has already been revealed on this forum. Either the interest has waned...or none of you recognized it! Its the Spy Car from TVs The Man From Uncle. Built by Gene Winfield using a modified AMT Piranha Sports Car. Give me a few minutes to get the links in place and update the website.

Cool If I'd known what it was I woulda voted for it. Come to think of it I think I did, but it was just a stab in the dark in order to register that I did vote.
Downloaded an printed. Me tray's loaded so I can't promise a rapid build, but already I'm thinkin' ..."I could shrink that, but could I build it?" Minor complaint ... If ya got a car with super cool Gull-wing doors ya just gotta be able to pose it with one open. :-) :-) A coupla years back I very nearly bought a Toyota Sera ... purely 'cos it was cute and had gull-wing doors. Big C kicked some sense into me instead, but I did build a model of one.

That's pretty messed up.
To lead folks to believe that the poll mattered, just wrong. Classic "bait and switch". And NASCAR does not "invert the field".

Nascar did invert the field with the All Star races, and inverting the field happens on the local short tracks.
It still build anticipation, as to what comes next

I somehow guessed it was the Piranha. That's why I voted for it.
Thanks for your continous effort in releasing models.

In spite of my picks, this extremely obvious model was one I wanted to see. So, I will pass this on to some folks at another forum that were interested in it

From the glossary of motorsports for the meaning of
Invert The portion of the field which is started by reverse qualifying speed. With an invert of five, the fifth-fastest qualifier starts first and the fastest qualifier starts fifth. The rest of the field starts by their qualifying speed (sixth fastest starts sixth). The invert is often not announced before qualifying or a dice/die roll happens after qualifying. I'm learning everyday. Papermate |

NASCAR only used that in the All Star race many years ago.
And short track racing is a whole 'nuther animal. Technically a NASCAR product, but not true NASCAR. "Mostly believed to be an ancient relic of NASCAR's long-forgotten past, the invert is actually a tactic still used at the Late Model level to fabricate excitement when the local powerhouse teams start to dominate a track and leave their rivals in the dust."
