well, I must say...with all this bad weather, I thought
more people would be locked up indoors itching for more paper model builds! I am surprised at the lack of visitors. But thats fine...I know this model will not appeal to everyone. so, if you haven't already figured it out...this is a Truck. and Trucks gotz wheels. in this case, 10 wheels...but only 6 assemblies. The rear tandem Wheels are simplified into solid pairs. So, Step 7, roll the tread parts into loops. Each tread part comes with a joiner strip. Sometimes I gets lazy...and I leave the joiner attached as a gluing tab. All you gotta do is create a stepped fold, a little deeper than the card thickness. I use a metal rule or old credit card to do this. ... Step 8 Cut out all the wheel faces and glue to the tread loops. Make sure to match both sides top/bottom. The artwork has a bright edge for the top of the tire and a dark shaded for the bottoms. ... Step 9 Fitting to the Truck frame is generally done by gluing the wheels in place. The frame is clearly marked as to the wheel positions. The wheels just butt flat to the frame rails. Front wheels are marked on the backside to attach to the front solid axle (that long boxey thingy!) In this case, I decided to run toothpick "axles" which is fairly simple since I marked each wheel and axle point with a 2mm center circle. I don't usually do this. I usually glue my wheels in place. The issue is the wheels can rotate, and throw off the top/bottom artwork. Either wheel attachment option works...you decide. ... And heres your rolling truck chassis ready for bolt-ons! Next up, we'll tackle a few of the extras, before building the body.

I just meant, many places complaining about rough weather this time of year.
Winter storms in many places causing a lot of havoc. We have had no serious storms (in my area) over the last week but it has snowed every single day (I've had the snowblower out almost every day) and today is the first day in a week to reach a high of 0 degrees. I see the forum visitor numbers are down just lately ...plus, a weekend just passed. Combine that with the people who aren't interested in what I post... and I have a dead thread! LOL (with all respect to those of you who are watching, of course.) Anyway, I've got a model to finish... more to come!

I have been busy with recolors, but I have been watching this thread, and can't wait to see what six wheel truck your are making. By the way did you fix the Hippo bus?

My snowblower is two teen boys with shovels. But they haven't been needed
yet this year.

And, based on the spoke patterns of the front wheel, I'm guessing a fuel truck from
Mad Max.
