exactly what size is that? each block on that strip is exactly one inch?... which makes your model about 6 inches long!!

However, I think I misunderstood what you meant, the model needs to be scaled down to 1/60? |

So, heres the thing...
a few weeks back, my friend Wadcutter asked if I might do something with a KoolWheelz model so he could build it for a friend who works for JPL (NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory). At first I couldn't think of what to modify with NASA and JPL logos... so I started thinking about some new models. Anyway, it was during that brainstorming that I decided to revisit the Lunar Rover idea. And I created the NASCAR/NASA racing Rover. It wasn't created for John specifically, although he might have thought it was. It was just another KoolWheelz project. Well, that now brings me to an actual NASA/JPL KoolWheelz project ...partly because I came up with an idea. (Two ideas in fact) And partly because of John's difficulties with building the Rover model. (its too small...and has too many parts) So, I present to you...the 1960s Apollo Astronaut Shuttle Van...KoolWheelz style! The boys at JPL have been bored....working on rockets that don't go anywhere anymore. And since the "AstroVan" is no longer being used...NASA replaced it years ago with a new RV style vehicle... the JPL Racing organization was formed! And the AstroVan got a few modifications. Mods like: a plasma charged ascent engine from the last Apollo LEM! And massive rear sticky Tires made from some sort of Moon Rock and Tang infused rubber compound. Don't worry, its got Drag Chutes and air conditioning. Now it cruises the A&W on Friday nights and shuts down the competition at the dragstrip on Saturdays. Space-X have been testing a Hydrogen powered Pinto, but apparently it keeps exploding.

Ever come across the Renault Espace F1 Dave?
Yep, they really did wrap an MPV around a Formula One race car. Renault Espace - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Ah, fond memories of the only Renault I ever owned, ... a Series 1a Espace Quadra. ... but then again it was actually built by Matra. Only the badges were Renault.
