Very. After the DS version they went on to build loadrunners on the later CX and XM platforms, but I've not seen anything later on a car based platform.

I knew I'd seen a paper one somewhere Rick, but I couldn't put a finger on it.

By the way, that spoiler was added in an attempt control the back end when they were empty.
They are all front wheel drive motors, so the long back end is very skittish without a load on it.

I seem to remember a fact that the Star Wars Landspeeder was based on a car chassis - a Reliant Robin, I think. So it is a coolwheelz, even though you can't see them.

According to sources, the windshield is supposed to be retractable (I can't figure out how it does it though). So if you really wanna make it easy, leave off the windshield all together.

Wookiepedia says the real life version was based off of a Bond Bug:
X-34 landspeeder - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bond_Bug

"Tom Karen oversaw the design and production of Luke Skywalker's landspeeder from Star Wars (1977): one of the models was built upon the chassis of a Bond Bug - the wheels hidden by mirrors angled at 45° to the ground."

Careful what you post here Aaron. Next thing you know people will be asking Dave to include the Bond Bug and then maybe all the other quirky Euro three wheelers.

Stop right there ... it's already been done folks ... Wee Beasties anyone?

Talking

Bond Bug, I knew it was some 3-wheeler. Only ever saw one 'in the flesh', parked in a street in Stirling back in the early 70's. Cool little car.
Dave-as usual great work with the SW Landspeeder !
This seems to be a (long running) thread that feels quite 'organic', in that it will probably evolve over time thru many subjects. Great fun to follow, and occasionally contribute to. This is why I love being part of this site.

Totally changing the subject, have you ever thought of doing a model of Christine?
