Thought this was fun...
remember a while back, I did a koolWheelz version of the "new" Mad Max Police Interceptor? I had some serious fun doing that one. And even though I focused on the "new" car in the upcoming (at that time) Mad Max film, I was totally inspired by the original Interceptor and the original films. Obviously the new version of the Interceptor is a bit different, and had a very short and insignificant part in the beginning of the latest "Mad Max" movie, but the original Mad Max/Road Warrior car is still a much loved fan favorite movie vehicle. So much so, that I have come across numerous replica builds of the iconic car. And I came across this story...from 2015...of what might be the best replica build so far. Definitely a fun read...and an amazing set of build photos. I really enjoyed seeing how it all came together. So, if you are a fan, and have a few minutes to waste, check it out. That time I built the Mad Max Interceptor

2015/2016 Batmobile
Batman v. Superman & Suicide Squad All of sudden people are building this model...I guess because Batman v. Superman just opened. And all of sudden I am getting requests for photos and help with the assembly of my KoolWheelz Batmobile. LOL The model has been out for a year...and only now people need help? Its not a hard model. But, looking at the model sheet again, I see how there are a few small bits that require some creative folding and its not entirely clear how they fit to the body of the car. So, without getting too complicated, I have created a quick "Assembly" sheet. An assembly diagram, combined with photos of the model, should help anyone put this thing together. You can find a few HQ photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/659362...57654017114975 Assembly sheet here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/kwlcucrzqladwl7/koolwheelz_BATMOBILE_2015_assembly.pdf You can also download the Assembly sheet from my Forum since this forum sometimes changes the direct file links. (I've asked for this to be fixed, but I guess its not happening) You have to look in the private member Forums (Dave Winfield - Koolwheelz New Releases) at cutandfold-papermodelforum.com You'll need to register on the Forum to get access to the private Member Forums. Sorry

I also decided to throw together a basic diagram for the Tumbler assembly
although I think its a pretty simple model. The Batwing assembly is covered in two separate build threads here and at papermodelers.com. So, I'm not going to bother with that one. Bat Tumbler Assembly koolwheelz BATTUMBLER assembly

I decided to take a break from working on the Saladin
...I've lost some of my inspiration and I'm trying to refocus... and so I thought about working on one of the many Kool Wheelz ideas I have backed up. I rediscovered this project which had been started a long time ago...maybe two years!... and was about 50% finished. I gave up on this project because I couldn't deal with the complicated shape of this vehicle. I was unsure how to represent it as a simple, low part count KoolWheelz model. I've always wanted to do a model of the Blade Runner Spinner (flying Police car). Thats what led me to creating the Ground Spinners a few years back. The flying Spinner is such a complicated shape with two operating configurations (ground and air). It was a much more complicated task, I thought. But, after all this time, I have remembered what the original KoolWheelz concept was all about. Simple, over-stylized, artwork reliant models with as few parts as possible. And so, I considered my options and threw away technical accuracy in favour of a buildable mini-model. As with many other KoolWheelz models, there are still some very small details that will require some very small parts. Roof lights and side view mirrors. You can choose to leave these off if you like and the model is still acceptable. Only thing I haven't created is a stand (for the model). The Spinner is represented in flying mode...the wheels are retracted, the front pods rotated and closed. I will have to leave it up to the builder to find some way of displaying the model. Unfortunately there is some sort of problem with Mediafire at the moment. As a result, I cannot access all my stored and shared files (online). I don't want to upload new files until I regain proper control of my account. So the Spinner KoolWheelz models are not accessible until the problem is sorted.

Got a support ticket into mediafire,
they apparently did have a site problem earlier today. And they very quickly sorted out and my folder problem. I just got an email from them telling me all is fixed. I will be upoloading the new koolWheelz files in a few moments and updating my website. Watch the StarCarz section for the new Spinners any second!. ... Forgot to mention, in case you didn't know, the Spinner(s) are another set of fabulous Movie vehicles designed by the great Gene Winfield. In fact, Gene built about 25 vehicles for Blade Runner. Gene Winfield designed and built so many great Movie and TV vehicles. Including the Star Trek Space Shuttle Galileo! He built three fullsize Spinners and a fourth for interior shots. One of the Spinners was just tubular aluminum for the take-off sequences. Its the only one that had the finished and detailed underside with clear floor panels. It was launched/hoisted on cables. Fun factoid...the hoisting cables are still visible in the final print of the film, since the budget limited post-production work. They had hoped that the pouring rain would help hide the cables on camera. It didn't.

Been away from papermodelling for a number of months, come back and here's a Spinner! What a great day to be alive. Downloaded and have main body done already.
Dave - have you considered Sebastian's van to round off this Blade Runner set ?

There are a number of other vehicles, but none really have any screen importance
(like the Spinners). There were a few Vans built for the movie, one of which was used for the JF meets Pris scene. If I do another BR vehicle, it might be a MetroKab. But Sebastion's Van is an option too.
