I'm getting an MIB Ford POS vibe.

*flashy thing*

I mean, it's swamp gas reflecting off of Jupiter.

If they go far enough into the future, do you think they'll still miss every shot with lasers?

LOL I was watching Enterprise and thinking the same thing.
Everyone is space with a phaser is an absolute lousy shot when fighting!!!!!!!!!!!
Even the trained Military Strike Team they have onboard Enterprise is useless with an energy weapon! LOL

hey hey its friday...you know what that means?!

Dave's gonna write a whole bunch of stuff that you have to read!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA run for the hills!

Many of you were totally misdirected by the Teaser Poster I released last week!
Kool!
But it wasn't intentional.

I started making up a teaser photo, and created the blurry image of the car
like I did for the previous model...and it reminded me of the Star Trek poster.
Similar angle, fading, motion blur....
and being a Trek fan, I got the idea to create that poster.
It was all in fun...but apparently it totally threw you off! LOL

..........................
So last year, or some time back, someone suggested this Matchbox Ford Escort as a Koolwheelz candidate.
Now, I often don't respond positively to Koolwheelz suggestions...I have enough of my own ideas, thanks...but this one struck a chord.

I never owned this car...in real life, or the 1978 toy.
But I do love all things diecast including Matchbox toys, and I had plenty of Matchbox growing up.

I also love Rally Racing and iconic cars.
The Ford Escort is definitely an iconic British car.
While its not a car I ever had any interest in owning,
it is the favorite of many and has an important place in British Motoring.

But what really intrigued me was the idea of another Matchbox toy...and its box...as a Koolwheelz model.
Its a well known and sought after Matchbox model, and its nicely decorated.
And I miss the days when Corgis, Matchbox and Dinky Toys came in boxes (not blisterpacks)!

How could I resist?!

So this is a two page model, with the reproduction Matchbox Box on page number two!
I've also included a little bit of history of the Escort and this toy on page two.
I tried to make the model as close to actual original diecast size
...the box is exactly the right size based on the info I could find.

Find it in the Toyz and Racerz section of the Koolwheelz!

That was a suggestion made way back in 2018, when we had those "guess the shape and you might get to make a suggestion" challenges:

You Pick!! Koolwheelz 2018 Party continues!

And, as one who won the chance to make a suggestion, and my suggestion was this very model,

THANK YOU!!!

<ahem>That is all, as you were...

My apologies...I uploaded the wrong file (for the Koolwheelz Matchbox RS2000 model)!

I just found two versions of this model in my files, and I was perplexed...so I took a look at them both...

I forgot, I had altered the nose and bonnet* on the car, after building the prototype, and saved a second file (with plans to build the updated version).
However, I didn't build the updated model...I just took my photos and prepared the model for release and forgot all about the modified version.

*The bonnet angle, at the nose, was a bit extreme on my model...so I changed it.

Anyway, the model has been replaced...just go download it again (and toss out the first version you downloaded).
What do you want for free? perfection?!
