Oh yes, do a '59 Edsel with one page added for an optional camper. And then do Gary's 1959 Healy after that. BTW, my buddy from Newfoundland says Austin is pronounced "Astin", for sure.

Go with the '59. You may have been born in the 1960 model year Dave, but what makes you you, went through the assembly line 9 months earlier, during the 1959 model year. From a genetic standpoint, the one-of-a-kind human being that we know as Airdave is more appropriately tied to the '59 Edsel. Plus, only car geeks know what a '60 Edsel looks like, whereas everyone is familiar with the iconic look of the earlier design.

The 1960 Edsel was just another car, style-wise. Nothing exciting there. The '58 was bold, gutsy, yet beautiful at the same time; I prefer the '58s raised headlight position. The '59 styling is a close second, though, IMHO.

Did I not publish it? Thats happened...where I sit and type out an entire post, and then never 'submit' it!! You have my BIG apologies. I use 65lb cardstock for everything these days. And when I design a model, I have 65lb thickness in mind. Including Koolwheelz models. There are some Koolwheelz with very small parts and assemblies that can be done with thinner 'paper', but those are rare. My 65lb/176gsm cardstock is about .21-.23mm in thickness. I usually allow .5mm for two layers/seams/overlaps/ID+OD/etc I found 'cover'stock to be smoother and slightly thinner. I had some 67lb coverstock with a real nice smooth finish, but as I said, its a bit thinner. And more expensive. I use 110lb cardstock for areas where I want thicker, more rigid panels. But curving and bending it is not as easy. It doesn't bend smoothly and creases, so its better for flat panels.

Dave thanks for the response. I tend to use 110# for most of my builds. including your koolwheelz. I will give the 67# a shot.

I'll change my vote, 1960. :D

I was, of course, referring to Ford's redesign of the front grill area on the 1960 model, which was rather conventional and unexciting in that respect.
