Love the new addition to the Racerz line, Dave. You've done a fantastic job recreating the graphics. I love the flattened wrinkle slicks, but you've assembled them on the wrong side - the wrinkles should be on the "leading edge" of the tire. I saw Jungle Jim (and Pam) several times back in the day. Together they put on quite a show. Jungle Pam was present at a Funny Car reunion show at Englishtown dragway 20 years or so ago. She was selling Jungle Jim memorabilia and signed photos of herself. I bought a sweatshirt and a gold sharpie signed photo - couldn't resist.

I stand by my comment - assuming that the car is launching. If you do an image search for "wrinkle slicks", virtually every photo will show the wrinkles originating on the front of the tire, which is under extreme torsion before the back of the tire even knows it's supposed to be turning. When sitting stationary, or backing up, as in your 2nd and 3rd pics (nice shot of Pam, BTW) the wrinkles can appear anywhere along the bottom of the underinflated tire, so I stand partially corrected.

lol so the first pic of a launching car with wrinkles at the rear doesn't hold any weight?
Alright, I can see this discussion is no-win.
lmao

Absolutely no evidence to say the car is backing up in the second photos I posted,
other than your argument about where wrinkles should appear.

First of all I said in my commentary that I was also trying to simulate the low pressure, squashed tire.
I wasn't actually trying to simulate a launching or wheelstanding car and never said that.
(if so, I might have included a support like I did with the Little Red Wagon.)

My argument (over yours) is that wrinkles appear front, rear, middle at various times under various loads and directions, and there is no one definitive way of looking at this.

You're the one arguing that I assembled my model incorrectly ...and I didn't. Simple.

Hi Dave,
thanks for your nice words about the flying Ace.
Have you ever thought about a car from Futurama?
They got not only cool Spaceships!
For Example

- Thundercougarfalconbird
- Fast Car based on the Studebaker Avanti
- Project Satan
- lots of different Hovercars f.e Lincoln Futura
- Volkswagen Station Wagon T1/T2
- a cool Willy's Jeep
and lots more
or the Hot Rod Planet Express Ship

Apparently I never had a "Holiday Models" thread.
Looks like I created a few specific year threads for certain releases.

This years Holiday Model, I'll just add here (since its connected to Koolwheelz anyway)

Available now to download. Link is at my Forum.
