I had the original Dinky 104 in 1968...probably my favorite Dinky because of its bulk and weight.
Before that. I alredy had FAB 1, Joe's Car, and the SPC.

I had them all again in the 80s...in fact I collected quite a few of each.
Many with origianl boxes.
I was stupid to sell them but I needed the cash for House payments,
and now they average about $500 a piece!

The Koolwheelz SPV is big...compared to other koolwheelz model.
Up to now, I haven't tried to stick to a specific scale or be consistent with scale
but because I already have the SPC at about 1/60 scale, it would be nice to
produce the SPV to match.

So...if I can keep all the parts on one page, I will leave it at this size.
If not, I may have to reduce it slightly.

Right now I have everything on one sheet, but I have no room for my diagrams or assembly details
and I am pushing the edge margins in a few spots.
(On my printer, my margins are set to only about .25", or no border if I choose...so its not an issue
but some folks still have very large margins and can't print things with this close to the edges!)

SPV is done!!

Looks good next to the SPC I already have in my collection!

Link and model isn't up yet...will be soon.
In the meantime, here is the last build I did.
(Minor alteration to a couple of parts, but basically this is the finished product)

Final model is 1/60 (based on Gerry Anderson specs for the SPV)
and comes in at barely over 4" long.

I personally never liked the look of the MSV (Maximum Security vehicle)
but since it was also a Spectrum Dinky Toy
and it would complete the set of three,
I guess I will have to do one of those too!

I also was never overly fond of the MSV: it looked far too much like a bunker on wheels, and seemed, for all its' Security naming, to be inadequate if ever it had to depart from a road, which made a logical mockery of the supposed security characteristics: hence my dislike of the vehicle itself.
However, it would certainly complete the vehicle set for Captain Scarlet, unless there were models of Captain Black, Captain White, or Captain Green's respective vehicles available, and those are not worth doing because each is only ever seen for two or three frames.
Which leaves the MSV as the logical choice.

Kind and Respectful Regards AirDave, Uyraell.

When I first heard about the new Green Hornet film, I got real excited.
I wasn't a fan of the old TV show, never really got the chance to watch it actually.

But being a fan of "superhero" movies, remakes of old TV shows and the like
and a fan of classic Custom Cars...
I couldn't wait to see the new "Black Beauty" on screen!

The movie turned out to be a bit of a letdown...but the car wasn't.

But when I started designing the Koolwheelz version of Black Beauty,
I couldn't remember the original Dean Jeffries design having so much chrome and sparkle.
In fact I remembered the car as being very plain and stealthy.
Sure it was "crime fighter" customized, but it was supposed to be just a shadow in the night.

Since I am a big Dean Jeffries fan anyway, I decided to switch my design
and follow the original TV car instead.
(if you don't know who Dean Jeffries is...he's the guy that designed and built most of the cars that George Barris takes credit for!)

So....I give you...
my miniature KoolWheelz version of the 1966 Chrysler Imperial based
Black Beauty by Dean Jeffries.

Veyron and other Supercars are already on the list in my mind,
and have been on my mind for a very long time.
I just haven't got serious enough yet to add them to the drawing board list.

I think its the fact that its a very curvy car...kinda like my favorite, the Porsche 911 and its kin.
A lot of my koolwheelz rely on stylized shapes and flat panels because of their size.
So I would hate to completely destroy the design of a car.

One day I will give the Veyron a try.
