to be honest, i was thinking of using the SnotRod pattern to make another drag car.
just a repaint...lose the "CARS" theme and make it more like a "Muscle Machine"

actually, I will do that, just for fun!

and since I now have a simple "Blower" setup. I can turn just about any model into a "Muscle Machine"! lol

Second "Drag" car is done!

I have used the "Snot Rod" Cuda to create another drag style car
as Don asked for.
Made a minor change...thought it might be cool to widen the body a bit.
Nothing too drastic, just enough to give a little bit different look when they are sitting side by side.

I won't tell you the theme/paint scheme yet...
doing a test build tonight.

If everything goes okay, then I'll put the kit out tomorrow.

.................................................. ......................

and, already started on the next "HOT" Wheel

Got some planes and other work to do this weekend,
so probably won't get much done for a while.
Watch for updates...

Some careful modifications to "Snot Rod"...

slightly wider body
moved the "engine" back to the windshield,
added twin "parachutes",
new paint and detail features

and the "Snake Hot Wheels© "Cuda" Funny Car is born!

as you can see by the test build photos, the car went together without a hitch!
Model is already up and available for download!
I will definately revisit this body in the future for a another repaint.

and a few more pics...

Great work Dave - you are really on a roll ;>)
I just can't get over how cool these models are coming out despite their simplicity. Your texturing is amazing.

"The Snake" is awesome Dave! You are really doing fantastic work, and in such a short time. Appropriate too, since Don Prudhomme retired this year. His nemesis in the '70's was Tom McEwen who raced a funny car dubbed "The Mongoose". Back in the mid to late '60's I was lucky to see Prudhomme (who was an up and comer at the time) race "TV" Tommy Ivo who was at the end of his career. Ivo had a huge rig with a big picture window on one side, and two top fuelers visible inside. He also brought along a wheelie car. Prudhomme had a beat up no frills trailer pulled by a pickup. They say "chrome don't go" and it sure proved true that day as Prudhomme dominated big time. It's great to finally see some NHRA cars to model - even if they are SD.
