I saw one on the interstate back in the early 70's. And then saw one parked outside Royals Stadium in the 80's.

Mike...
Quote:
The first Weinermobile was in 1936.
The third generation, designed in 1952, was the first with multi passenger seating,
air conditioning and sound system.
One of the original '52 Dodge Truck based vehicles now sits in the Henry Ford Museum in Michigan.

The Weinermobile still tours the continent to this day
however the latest versions are built on the new Mini.

...and Hot Wheels toys produced a miniature version of the 2000 Weinermobile.

..........
Miles...

Really?...I saw one, at least once...I think it might have been at the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) many years ago
but I can't honestly remember.

Apparently they will give you the weinermobile for a day.
(or one of their weinermobiles)

On their website is a "what would do with the weinermobile...?" submission.

I guess, for worthy causes, they will bring it to you or something.

I saw one up close and personal five or six years ago in Scranton, PA. The driver was staying overnight at the same hotel my wife and I were at. The next day it was parked at the nearby Wegman's supermarket, and I got to see it again.

Halloween's coming Dave. Have you ever thought of doing a Kool Wheelz model of Elvira's car? It's basically a stock black '58 T-Bird convertible with a few spooky chrome decorations and a leopard skin interior. Some good reference material here: Elvira's Spooky '58 Thunderbird

I've got the plastic kit.
Not sure it motivates me enough to do a paper version.
Not this year anyway.

I'd rather model Elvira!
