Interesting story...back in the learly 1980s I was working at an Auto Repair/Front End shop,
and I drove cars to and from the shop for Wheel Alignments.
We serviced dozens of shops all over Toronto and surrounding area.
As a result, I drove every type of car and light truck you can imagine, including a few exotics.
One day I picked up a DeLorean...only DeLorean I have ever driven...and had to drive it back to the shop about 40 minutes away.

Main thing I remember about the car was getting in it, and lowering the gullwing door.
As the door shuts over your head, there is a rectangular recess cut into the interior of the door,
that your head must fit into.
I remember turning my head and bumping the side of the box that surrounded my cranium.

Keep in mind, I am only 5'6" tall, and I don't sit tall in cars!

So, I have no idea how John DeLorean liked it, since he was apparently 6'3" at 80 years old!!

Other thing I remember is how underpowered the car was.
I already knew about the Renault F1 inspired chassis and engine in these cars.
And I had expected supercar performance...but it wasn't to be.

Nice car though...I'd still love to own one.

That recess in the door/roof sounds like an emergency solution to a problem only discovered after the car's dimensions were set.

I'll print and build one when released. If I have to. I guess...
