Need a single part on an old kit redesigned...

hey all!
I need a gun pod redesigned on one of mareks old kits....It basically mounts under the wing but the design of the pod leaves something to be desired.... It does not look very good after its built and its a bit confusing... I will supply the full file to whomever can help!
Thanks
Chris

I would love to chris but not sure I be able to do it and no point wasting your time. not sure what it is wrong or why it looks wrong? is there anywhere can see a picture of the real plane and the model close up where this pod is?

right now it looks kinda like a flap hanging under the wing (think like a skin tag) it should look more like a pod.

Look here - http://img114.imageshack.us/i/33797799rl0.jpg/#q=p39 gun pod

looking at the merek part, if built right should look like the real one. the lines on the outer edge should be cut and rolled over. but having not built that part i could be wrong.

I agree... but the design just does not look good with all the cuts in the paper. I suppose its probably good enough... I will talk to the guy that did the repaint. Maybe the both of us just arent going about it right I kinda made it look like it came to a point along the bottom.

those are small cut lines??
what for?

do you have a pic of the model, with the actual part, from a better angle
to judge its overall shape and size.

on the hawker Hunter I just built for you, there are two machine gun "pods" under the nose area...
these have some large visible cuts (mainly because its such a small part) but the overall form is good.

I wonder if these pods would make a good replacement for this part you are talking about?
I could resize and recolour them to match.

as I said, show me photos of the model in question and the part.
at least tell us what the plane is? lol are you trying to keep it a secret?
even your imageshack photo doesn't reveal much! lol

I assume the small cut lines are to facilitate rolling the bottom into a rounded shape. Those cuts are specifically what I dont like about the design. I have had a beta builder try the model in question but he gave up on the model because of the poor result of the gun pods.... but I cant help if we were just trying to do it wrong.

I have no pics because I do not have a successful build.

Chris;
maybe it needs a narrow flat botton piece that can be massaged to rounded shape after gluing, and the edges can be rounded to give it better shape?? send me the part and I can look at it today if you would like.
