New and improved Blade Runner Blaster?

One of the very first models I downloaded and wanted to build,
was uhu's Deckard's Blaster (from Blade Runner).

I still haven't finished it.
Overly complicated, (as many of uhu's kits are I think)
and another kit with a lack of instructions.

I would really like to see a redesign? new design? somewhat simpler design?
of this gun.

...if any of our great weapons designers wishes to give this one a try,
I know I would be extremely grateful.

Deckard's PKD handgun ("Blaster")

"The Gun is formed using various pieces of a rifle (Steyr Mannlicher .222 Modello SL) and a gun (.44 Special Police Bulldog)."

I had two main problems with uhu's model,
but I also didn't get very far, so I don't know what other issues might be there.

First problem was the lack of instructions...I spent more time trying to figure things out, than actually building anything. (all I have to work with is 3 or 4 very small photos of the built model)

Second problem was the hand grips. They seemed overly complicated. Too many odd little pieces and once again, no real instructions or detailed diagram too follow. I got about half of one grip done before i finally gave up.

i looked at the model last night and i can see waht you are talking about on the grips. lotta little pieces. i think its needed for a more organic look but a simpler grip could be done if you are ok with a more "blocky" look.
