Could anyone create this into a 3D pattern for me?

I don't have the software to create this shape in 3D. I use a Mac and it seems most of the good programs are for the PC. Does anyone have some time who could make this into a 360 degree pattern, for a round shape I could assemble? It is a UFO shape. I need the top part to be about 8 inches tall and the bottom about 2 inches. If you want you can use it and decorate one for yourself. Or if you need blueprints to build Sci-Fi ships I have many. I could scan some as a trade. Get in touch with me and maybe we can work something out.

Kecksburg?

(Personally, I still think Kecksburg was a Soyuz-type reentry module that the good ol' CCCP wouldn't own up to.)

Trimble SketchUp

Sketchup is available for Mac, and is free. There are all sorts of tutorials out there, and yours is a very basic shape that should be an easy first project.

I slapped this together with Sketchup and used MattCiapa's SPP tool to unfold it. The Sketchup part might have taken 5 minutes.

It's rough, but I think it's what you were looking for.

Thanks Everyone!

Thanks Gillman! I will assemble it and see how it goes.

Also Thanks to cMags for the sketchup recommendation. My Mac is old tho, G4 pre-intel chip. It probably won't work but will read up on it.

umtutsut, I cannot confirm what the shape is. I don't want to be locked in the X-File division basement.

Cool work! I like sketch up myself. The program is free and is easy to work with. I know little about the program myself and I can still create models. I am learning more all the time, but I do not need to know it all to use it. The new skills just make life easier or more fun. Day bay day I get better. When you are ready to try your own models give sketch up a go. You will like it.

Why not to give a go to 3DMax. It's way much cooler, and easier to work with.
Don't bother about that it's not legal if just being downloaded.
Only commercial studios should purchase it.
So give a try.
