1/400 Nimitz-Class Aircraft Carrier?

Hello,

Is there a 1/400 model of any of the Nimitz-Class aircraft carriers available? I have a nice collection of ocean liners and cargo ships and various naval vessels in that scale, but no modern-day aircraft carrier. The carrier would make an interesting addition for size comparison.

Thank you,
Kurt

No, not as far as I know; the only Nimitz-Class CVAN is in 1/250 scale by Wilhelmshavener Modellbaubogen (# 1270, 33 sheets DIN A3, 99.- € +p&p). If you dare to rescale it, you may order it from www.papermod.com ...
If you're looking for papermodels in the scale 1/400, you'll find them at www.jsc.pl - there's at least an Invincible-class aircraft carrier (now already discarded by the Royal Navy).
Kind regards -

Hello,

That Enterprise is quite an amazing model for 1/800 scale!

On the 1/250 Nimitz, I couldn't find it on the site with my limited (= zero) understanding of German, but I think I understand it is not a download, so I'd have to scan the parts before printing them at reduced scale? However, the cost might be prohibitive for me.

Thank you for your replies!
Kurt
