Possible conversion kit for Nobi's C-130?
I just read this article about studies done on using the C-130 airframe as a sea plane or flying boat. A C-130 Hercules Amphibian Makes Too Much Sense To Be True* In my opinion the sea plane versions look kinda silly but the flying boat version is a whole other story. What do you think? I would love to see a conversion kit for Nobi's model...especially a U.S.Coast Guard version.

It is great! Looks so much like the Short Solent flying boat. I think design a completely new kit would be better, trying to convert a kit without the original 3d model file is not easy.

Good point! Since Dave W. created improved bulkheads for that kit and I think Nobi still visits the forum...idk...just thought about a collaborative effort. Either way I hope it gets done. :-)

I might do a version of the C-130 Flying Boat. I've been wanting to do a C-130 in Coast Guard scheme, and this would be my chance.

Is that a jet engine powered Lockheed C-130?
I would love to see something like that. -RunwayOneSixRight (Matthew) |
