FW-189 link...

In case anyone ever feels like designing a FW-189 observation plane, there's a fantastic set of rare photos here: Russia from Focke-Wulf 189 photos... - Military Photos

Ryan

I know, I know, I'm not supposed to be on here right now but just had to share it.

Fantastic photos. Wish I'd had them when I was doing my MM build. These photos clear up a few questions I had.
I'd love to see a new kit of this plane done.

Never been able to track that one down, Billy. Anyone with a spare copy lying around they want to get rid of can certainly email me!

I have this model but shipping from Jurrop to the US of A is pretty expensive. The model is rather poor detailed, cf. Kartonbau.de - Alles rund um's Kartonmodell... | Frisch ausgepackt | Fly Model 55 - FW 189, 1:33

There is also another FW 189, which was published by Geli, see attachment, and is also rather rare.

When you're fast, you can find a Geli FW 189 at ebay (would be shipped from Austria to worldwide): GELI Flugzeug Modellbaubogen Nr 28 Focke Wulf Luftwaffe bei eBay.de: Papiermodelle (endet 07.06.09 20:48:57 MESZ)

There's also a Maly that isn't too bad for the old style Maly. I would definitely redraw it if I tried it again. I did it about 3/4 of the way through and then dropped it when I decided that the glazing (my fault) and cockpits (their fault) were not worth the effort for what the final result would be.
