Heeeeeeeellllllppppppp !
I'm not sure this is the right place to post this so forgive me if I got it wrong.
I have a plastic model at 1/350 scale of the "King George V" battleship. I didn't build it so it's absolutely superb. The ship had a catapult with a Supermarine Walrus amphibian on it but It got a bit bashed around during a move. I need a new Walrus! Unfortunately at 1/350 scale I can barely see it let alone build it. Is anyone out there willing to take on a build for me ? I would pay for any materials/plans/model required. I live in Morecambe England. If you feel you can help please let me know or send me a pm. Thanks Liz (sprogs)

I'd love to help you, Liz, but my skills are simply not up to it. I'm pretty sure someone will come along, though. Good luck!

Dear Liz,
I know that Maly Modelarz did publish a 1/300 model of the King George V, which includes a walrus. Unfortunately is is a rather dated model of 1986. As far as I know there is no 1/350 model of this ship. Kind regards Hans. |

Hi,
I'd suggest you sign in 'Britmodeler'-site, since your ship is plastic and you propably want the replacement to be plastic too and that bumch is specialised in plastic. The other thing they propably want to know is the catapult and launching car intact or will either of those need fixing too. Pictures help generally to determine the work so... Here you can browse available kit and detail set options for the work. I can't take the job 'cause I live too far away, sorry. Tappi |

Hello to all. It seems to me you should make a 3D printed model. I think it is not difficult to order it in England. This is probably the most simple way to do plastic Walrus. I could be to help you, but I'm behind a new iron curtain now... No connection, no pay possibility, no nothing.

I think there was a Prince of Wales published a while back by GPM. Digital design and well printed but twice as complex. |

I recall that a free walrus papermodel existed. If your aim is having a walrus seaplane in paper, help can be found here! If is a plastic replacement walrus model in 1/350, perhaps in a plastic model forum is a more suitable choice.

Hi and thanks everyone.
I'd like it to be paper. Don't know why, but why not ? Probably because I'm no good at all at carving plastic. If anyone can lead me to a Walrus paper model that would be fine. Liz.

Not paper but 1001 Hobbies has a Trumpeter 1:350 scale Walrus (6 in the box) on your side of the pond for 10 pounds. Each is only 9 pieces and may be a good option if you can get someone nearby to build it for you. Dane's suggestion of a 3D printed model is a very good alternative as it may not require any building. If it must be paper, perhaps ask Bruno to design one.
