I have been trying a packet I got at Office Depot, of 65 weight Wausau Bright White premium cardstock "for covers" . It is lighter than most card stock, bends more easily, and replicates the thin card used for Micromodels. Might try that.

BTW There is a set of 4 *lasti* models of Air Force One craft on eBay at #190363517820. the Boeing 314, a DC4, a Constellation and the first jet 707. At 1:144 scale, and at a price that exceeds many a repaint program.

I apologize for posting a pirate URL. I did not know it was a pirate site.
I will be more careful in the futuure. Once again I do apologize for this.

I have no idea what you mean by "lasti".
Those models zoomed-in to at 400% are 1/144 Minicraft brand plastic models. I'm looking for highly detailed card models at a larger scale Thanks for the tip on paper. I'll try it. |

Some members of this forum consider "plastic" to be a Bad Word; hence, *lasti*. Take the "p" and "c" off.... :-)
I use cover stock from Office Max and have had good results with it. It's thin but strong, you can layer it to achieve greater thicknesses, and it moves smoothly through a printer. It was never designated a Presidential aircraft as such, though Roosevelt did travel on one, but there's a free Boeing 314 clipper in the downloads section, designed by fellow forum member Gary Pilsworth. |

Those who wish not to use the word plastic may continue to do so. I, however, shall continue to use the word as I always have for the sake of accuracy and will not consider it a forbidden word, Further, neither will I be concerned about whether or not my use of it will offend others.
I choose to view this hobby as no better than any other hobby material, medium or method. Regardless of what the chosen hobby is, the passion with which one pursues it, the striving for perfection, the personal enjoyment, is what is important. Thanks for the paper tip. |
