1/72 Spad XIII flown by Guynemer

Hi all,

I don't know many card model companies, so searching for particular kits is hard. Therefore you'll notice me asking for particular kits quite often.

I want to build a 1/72 model of the Spad XIII flown by Capt. Georges Guynemer. He had one with a cannon, but the one I'm searching for had machine guns and 'Vieux Charles' written on the fuselage. It's ok if it doesn't say that on the fuselage though, sometimes it didn't.

Please, I don't want to scale down from 1/33 or another scale, as I don't know how and don't want to. Also, some models are sent in the post, but I prefer PDF as I make many mistakes and reprint countless times. :(

So if you know of one already drawn or you plan to make it, please let me know. Thanks in advance! Bani (Links to some references are below) :

Well I just checked der Kampfflieger's site and only see a Spad VII and an A.2. This would have been your best bet for a model already in 1:72 scale.

If you find a model you like, let us know if you need help with rescaling. Scaling down is usually as simple as choosing a particular percentage to print at in the print options window that always comes up in Acrobat.

I dont even have a spad XIII designed yet! Not a bad idea. I will touch base with Roman and fitter and see if they can help out.
Thanks
Chris

*edit*

Roman will be picking up this design request when he returns home in a few days Since Guynemer is an Ace is will likely be in 1:33 for my Aces series. We can help you get it printed. Its not too difficult once you know the steps!

In the meantime I will need as many livery references as possible for the XIII version.
Thanks!
Chris

A SPAD XIII opens lots of Aces possibilities: Eddie Rickenbacker, Frank Luke, Francesco Baracca, Rene Fonck, Kennedy-Cochrane-Patrick . . .

Wow! Thanks guys! I agree with Cmags, this is one great community and I'm happy to have joined!

I'm a big fan of the models at der kampfflieger, although I'm yet to purchase from there. Also I know Roman and Email him from time to time. In fact, I must let him know I joined this forum!

Now gathering as much references as possible, but most I have are in books. Anyway, I'll post links soon.

Here are a few more links. There is a suprisingly small amount of these on the internet.

Maybe I can scan a few of my books for you. Also, I build plastic models and can give you the exact paint colour numbers for the scheme if that helps.
