Modular Space Toys

Not sure if this is the locale for the post but I'll give it a go and hope if it's the wrong place it'll get moderated to the right home.

Quite some years ago I found a set of modular parts online, I think under 'Modular Space Toys', for peices to combine in a variety of ways to make some nice space ships. Simple cubes and nozzles up to pointy protusions and fighteresque wings.

Sadly I cannot now find these parts. Many of the usual (and googleable) linksites point to dead pages.

Does anybody out there know what I'm talking about? If so anychance anyone has a copy of the bits?

Yous in antici . . . . pation

Mark

Lemmingman, you might also check out the "Cosmo-Naut Modular Space Fighter System" at eCardmodels.com; this set also provides parts to build tabletop-sized space warships. Another good imagination-exerciser.

Modular Space Toys had two web sites as well as a Google Group. All are gone now :(

The designs were fun to model and render.

I have some of the modular space toys also, i will need to find the cd which has them. send me a pm and will try to get them to you. i belive the originators of the site are/were engineers, i know at least one of them traveled overseas qiuite frequently. first got into papermodelling with their designs as my oldest grandson was into "space" at the time. Maybe the gents have retired.

Hey, LemmingMan, looks like most of it is still available through the Wayback Machine. Use the newer Iceberg address and set the Wayback machine for that address. Good luck!

Undergoing a redesign... http://paper-models.yolasite.com/
Sadly it's only one designer with one printer, one pair of scissors and not enough time.

Codex34 is it you I have to thank for these modular units then? They've brought me a lot of fun over the last few years kicking about ideas.

Thank you very much!

Loving the new site and can't wait to be able to grab some of what I see there. Put me on the to notify list when you throw open the doors and allow these for download.

Obviously no pressure. I'm already a lucky modeller with the bits you've already placed up previously, especially considering it's all free.

I guess you're in it for the fun and being a one man design team might make it a bit of a slog but know that there's a little bit of England made brighter by the work you've done and the work you're doing!
