I too am interested in this topic.
I am surprised, with all the ship models out there, there is no Texas model? If I were a ship modeler, I can say this is a subject I would like to tackle. Alas, a Hull of this complexity is far beyond a simple PT Boat! I'm not sure I have the skills to figure it out, especially since I don't work in 3D CAD. As it happens, I did do a paper model of the Texas a few years back... it was for a contest on World of Warships (game). Since I felt I had no chance at winning one of the Medallions they were giving away, I decided to recreate one in 3D paper. Not quite what you are looking for. Anyway, if nobody else picks this up, I think I would like to look into it. I am somewhat stalled right, not finding the right motivation. As I said, might be beyond my skills, but it might be the different type of project I have been looking for. get me out of this building slump. ...

Watched this tonight.
I'm amazed at how small the Rudder is. I expected to see something the size of Texas.
