1/32 with detail would be wonderful - that's my scale of choice. 1/48 is definitely better for those with limited space to display their finished models though.

Hi There,

No update on design but I have some tip for assemble tail wing as my design. Some modeler will have some problem with install a tail wing to make it look good.

I have some tip for you, just glue each side each time, not both side in same time. let's see a picture.

First is cut a tail wing, score and fold into shape.

Then apply glue on left side of tail wing and install to fuselage

After glue in left side is dry, go to opposite and apply glue into that side and attach to fuselage.

Glue an open seam of tail wing. After that you will get a look good tail wing in your aircraft model :-)

111th Sentai Ki-100 Otsu Built

Nobi and all -

I have finally completed one of your models, Nobi: the 1/48th 111th Sentai, 5th Chutai, Ki-100 Otsu Goshiki (Type 5) fighter stationed at the Akeno Airfield Flying Training School in 1945.

The design and fit of the parts was absolutely first class, but my inferior building skills prevented a first-class job. Nonetheless, I am pleased with the result and look forward to building more of your Japanese fighters. While the lessons learned from this one are fresh in my mind, I have started the John Bowden repaint of the Ki-100 in the markings of Major Teruhiko Kobayashi, commander of the 244th Sentai based at Chofu in May 1945.

Since we now have both the operational Kawasaki Army fighters (Ki-61 and Ki-100), and since you have already produced the Ki-27 and Ki-43, any chance of the Ki-44 and Ki-84 so that we can also have the full line of Nakajima Army fighters?

In any event, thanks for this great model, Nobi!

Don
