I appreciate the fact that you guys are asking us and not just ordering,
but to be honest I'm okay either way.

To me this seems like some sort of cleanup effort, that if this is something you want to see then you should just implement it.
If you want it... just do it...for everyone.

But I think its gotta be all or nothing...everyone gets a "personal" froum or no-one.
If only a handful opt for this, then it looks like the forum is pandering to them.

Jeff/Dragos - you guys already have your folders so we are good there, I can do some quick searches and move some stuff around if you want me too Jeff do you want your name left at Jeff ORcutt or changed to hawkman to be in line with your username here? your call!

Murphyaa - I think you have enough projects, thats the point behind this exercise - easier to find all your stuff!

Dave - anyone can have a forum section if they have more than two designs in progress or complete. I am not allowing everyone to keep it more focuses on active designers. If there were 200 folders with one or two threads it would defeat the purpose.

If someone wants to avoid you they wont look at your threads anyway :P Its not cleanup in the slightest. I figured this is a good way for designers to get a little more noticed when they are working on new stuff. Its easy to see when their folder is lit up!

I kinda figured you stopped using your folders on ecardmodels cause it was a pain to maintain threads in two places... which is part of my reasoning for joining up with Jason here.

...yeah, sorry, when I said "everyone gets a personal forum" I meant only those recognized as or claiming to be "designers" with a need for a centralized forum.

Drat - I am sooooo busted!

Here are my current to do's

Looks for project threads for the following users and copy to their project folders
Knife
Dragos
hawkman
nothing
murphyaa

possibly make folder and move projects for Zathros - Zathros, dont you have some older projects out there or is this truly your first? I am just not sure but it seems you had some others out there.

Airdave - let me know if you want me to remove your folder (I am certain you have everything in that folder now, here as well. Otherwise I have no problem searching your stuff here to move into it. Either way works for me! This is really a personal preference

I have reconsidered based on Daves argument. been thinking about it all day. If ANYONE wants a project folder they can get one so long as they have one active project they plan on working on shortly. One caveat - if the folder goes inactive with only one or two threads I will merge it back into the designer forum. Of course this is only if it goes inactive.

Zathros - look for yours shortly!
