That scales out to 68.5" or 174 cm. That's huge! Do you intend to fly it?

Interesting subject. I saw a photo of a short take off idea for it.
That is a large kit. I look forward to seeing this one come together.

1/33 and no Cockpit ? I see the point as i´m sure that there ist few to no information about that around - but i recommend at least to prepare for a CP-Floor and dashboard.. rest may be added by the builder itself.

Nevertheless - please make this a good one !!

In this scale, I think you'd need a cockpit especially with the gear so detailed...in 1/33 you would be able to see in the cockpit windows and it would also be interesting to have the option to be able to display the cockpit 'open' with the seats hanging underneath...

Edit...knew I had this somewhere...

Looking at the photo, it would seem that a prerequisite to pilot training might have been acrobatic experience! I can't imagine trying to exit the airplane in an emergency!

Echo the comments on the cockpit. But, are details on the cockpit environs available?

Good question, CD, with the amount of info that has been released on Russian aircraft in the last two decades I would have thought that there would at least be some pictures of the M-50 cockpit from the one at Monino. But...have spent a couple of hours going through my library, I have found not a single one - the one above being the closest in that at least it shows aspects of the seats and 'entry' hatches...similarly, not one on the net either, no even from the flight sim fraternity which is often quite creative in this area...the 'best' reference at the moment may be any available images of the interior of the Amodel M-50 which are also probably one best guesses...
