TRFKAB, alpha build.
Well she's not easy to build because of the size, but using the double planking concept of model shipbuilders the body came out quite nice:
however, the fins seem to be a problem: The entire build is here: http://jleslie48.com/rfkab_rocket114...rfkab/acs.html but im going to have to re-design the fins... |

What if you made it so the fins fit into a slot on the side of the rocket?
That would make it easier to fit the rocket's curve. |

Oh.......... I wasn't aware that it was going to fly.
So I guess you'll have to design the fins around the curve............. how are you going to handle the "splash down"? Does the top pop off and release a chute? |

I'm using Neptune's color scheme from the big boy rocket as a starting point, but its my own texturing. I'm also working on one using the black theme:
