Beautiful work, John! I can't wait to see the finished and colored version.
Interesting coincidence -- just this past weekend I learned of this B-17 restoration project -- although if 98% of the parts are actually new, wouldn't this qualify as a (very) late production model?

Volunteers working on the B-17 construction project at the Champaign Aviation Museum said they are about halfway done with making the "Champaign Lady" fly

The "Champaign Lady" project is at: Champaign Aviation Museum, Home of the B-17 Warbird Restoration

Perhaps a paper model B-17 in "Champaign Lady" markings would make an unique publicity piece / fundraiser for this group?

Something is telling me that the olive drab wing in the middle and bottom area of the picture is a Fiddlersgreen Consolidated B-24 Liberator?

Am I right?

Nope, but you are only partially correct.

WOW!!!

Those B-17 variants are looking amazing! I'm really looking forward to seeing all of them finished so I can build them all. This is my favorite aircraft.

Best Regards,

Thanks Rick for posting the photos and it was great seeing you on Sunday.

I’ve been busy doing the page layouts and the instructions. I’ve attached an exploded parts diagram I did so you can get an idea how the kits will go together.
