This is great news although we had better have the dart guns ready to sedate Herky if he gets too excited!! Canberra has been long overlooked in the modeling world despite her history and I'll be following this design very closely. While I'm normally a 1/200 guy, I'll be looking forward her in 1/250 too...

as you state hmv do their ships at 1;250 scale and in my humble opinion they are one of the best commercial model ship designers along with scadis veritas

Wow what an interest... I'm very delightful

Thanks friends for advise, 1/250 scale now is granted.

I never got to ride on her ... I was next door on the QE2, but I'll be following this thread with nearly as much interest as Herky.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.
Maybe because of being big, entirely white and having roundish forms? In my opinion the nickname is rather sublime.
PS. ride on QE2, I believe, also was something special...

True - "tower blocks". The original ocean liners probably almost "extinct" with an exception of Cunard lines. However IMHO, despite modern influences QM2 still is the best successor traditions for by today.

the original design for the queen mary2 was stunning however micky ariston? who owns carnival which now owns cunard insisted that all outside cabins had a balcony hence the tower block effect she has now.technically she is a great ship but her transatlantic sleek lines are spoilt and imho the idiot wgho designed the funnels needs shooting
