The Andrea Doria / Stockholm was a classic "radar assisted collision" and has, and maybe still is used as a case study in many marine schools.

A sad epitaph.

True, she was a post-war generation vessel, that captured different approach on transatlantic passage. Not chasing the speed or size, but offering efficiency and comfort.

IMHO Andrea Doria is sort of ships that came into history due to tragic events.
Otherwise she probably would be forgotten just like sister ship SS Cristoforo Colombo.

I got it to open and print, it looks great!
As a suggestion for a new project, how about the SS United States?

Thanks.

SS United States is a great vessel, I even have a book about her and know there are some good blueprints on the net.
However as I mentioned before, I already have a "contract" with one member who's at the moment preparing to scan blueprints of Andrea Doria.

So, maybe next time . Also there is JSC's version of SS US.
