I just finished the alpha build, and it went well. I haven't built much ordinance, but this was very straight forward.

Impressive build Jason! very neat and clean. Lot of thanks for the test build!
About the tail section, i didn't take paper thickness into conideration, i would make the small fin as separate part on the release version

Very impressive. From design to built model in a few days. I like it.
I'd be very interested to learn more about your development process. I've tried sketchup a few times but generally find it frustrating and clunky. As a long time Metasequoia and Pepakura user I've learned how to work around all the limitations, and the cost of Sketchup Pro puts it out of my budget. Does the unfolding addon work with the free version? @kingjason - did you use joining strips to connect the pieces together? There didn't seem to be any tabs or joining strips on the pattern. Steve

SJsquirrel,
There were none on the design, which I like, I cut my own tabs. |

Thanks a lot steve
When i first use Sketchup (8) to design papermodel it's kinda troublesome as well, it was like few years ago Now it's slightly easier using Sketchup 15, it has much more reliable extension for unfolding though the SVG exporter is still hard to understand (but i'm getting hang of it). The good thing is you don't need to go back and forth from Sketchup to Pepakura to do necessary correction, everything can be done in Sketchup alone, after you finished unfolding just export it as SVG then colour it on Inkscape or whatever vector processing program you usually use You do not need Pro version for installing extension, but Google account is needed to download them.
