I'm not committing to anything yet there is still a long ways to go before I can even consider painting this thing but Zot seems to be tapped into my subconceious desires lately. I like the tiger stripes and the AVG camo. I wonder if a shark mouth would work on this. The P-40 is the only plane that I've seen that really pulled it off successfully IMHO.

I think my opinion that the sharkmouth only works well on P-40's still stands (no offense Zot). Maybe though an eyeball could be painted on each wingtip and we would have a hammerhead tigershark?

No offence taken. On this plane I don't care for it that much either. I just thought I would add it to see how it looked.

I don't think the shark mouth works on the intake that far back. If it needs to be present, a longer shark mouth under the nose would be my preference.

If you visit the National Museum of the USAF, the B-24 "Strawberry Bitch" is there finished in a pink color.

Will I think this would be a cool subject to devote so much energy as a design to, its unique and not modeled much (at all?). I don't think a Hawaiian shirt paint scheme..maybe I didn't get that quite right..:D

I'm slipping

I'm feeling a bit like a hack doing this model. I maybe I have just learned how to get past irrelevant minutiae but I have made a fair amount of progress already on the model and I know that there is a whole lot of reference that would allow me to make the overall dimensions far more accurate than they are now.

My Super Corsair model is accurate to 1/4" (full scale) in a lot of places and I have dug up so much reference on it that in comparison I feel like I'm turning into a hack just busting this out as quick as I am. I am not compromise fit or anything like that but being true to the subject is being relegated to secondary status. Or at least it feels that way to me.
