The atomic cannon has its own website - The M65 280mm Atomic Cannon - Home.
The Soviet Union built a couple of massive artillery pieces in response to the US 280mm gun. These were built as SPGs on JS tank chassis - they were the 420mm 2B1 Oka and 406mm 2A3 Kondensator. Neither were very successful and the Red Army pursued missiles rather than big guns. There is a surviving Oka and a Kondensator in St Petersburg. This looks like it's going to be a great model - really hope it gets released as a kit. Regards, Charlie |

This is like standing on the floor of the assembly plant, watching the design crew assembly the prototype from the first parts received from the manufacturing division. A truly stunning model.
