Love the way you could just run up behind it and just push it over, it's so top heavy.
I don't know, you have to remember this is advanced Martian technology designed by Martians. Could be self-stabilizing!

So here is Chani, all finished up!

Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoyed building it.

It's looks great

This is what my Saturday afternoons looked like when I was young. I look forward to your Gort. You might also consider the Republic Robot which was used in several movies from Republic Pictures.

Thanks! Yeah, that republic robot is another good one. The axe yielding is pretty wicked too.

Here is a little teaser for Gort:

Chani looks good, the clear dome tops it off nicely (no pun intended).

That clear Dome really came out well!

Another stellar Build... The big question is:

"Do Robots dream of Sheep?"

Thanks and thanks. The dome did turn out better than I expected. It was an experiment that happened to work out this time.

I decided to make a smaller version of Chani so I can put a light in the dome on top. I didn't design this into the first version, and I didn't want to slice it up to add the LED and battery. This one is going to be about 3/4 the size of the original design. I am also going to make the finish more silvery than the first.

Here's a little comparison picture:

Cries out for an LED light in the head. Good move.

Knowing absolutely zip about the movie I went looking.
Findings seem to put it in the, 'Oh, it's so bad I just have to see it!' ballpark.

Devil Girl From Mars B-Movie Review
Quote:
About the characters and radio, since they seem so much more important than planes exploding in midair, both Robert and Dr. Hennessey are discussed by the announcer. Presumably the news is a little slow in Scotland, but the plot mechanics surrounding these people being mentioned on the air are funny. Of course the station is going to detail the escape of a convicted murderer, but why mention an astronomer?

With everyone conveniently assembled (the screenwriter must have been a Dungeon Master) we can focus on the real point of this movie: people drinking, a lot. Oh yes, along with other distinguished films like The Killer Shrews, this is a drinking movie. Try drinking along with the actors, but may I suggest keeping a full bottle of hard alcohol at hand to refill your glass since it is going to magically empty itself often.

Things could have remained a glowing celebration of the Betty Ford Clinic if our title character had not arrived, but she finally does. Her ship seriously damaged by hitting the atmosphere at too high of a speed (darn women drivers),...

Quote:
Rolling Stone columnist Doug Pratt called Devil Girl from Mars a "delightfully bad movie". The "acting is really bad and the whole thing is so much fun you want to run to your local community theatre group and have them put it on next, instead of Brigadoon.[citation needed] American film reviewer Leonard Maltin said the film is a "hilariously solemn, high camp British imitation of U. S. cheapies".[6] The reviewer for the British Monthly Film Bulletin (1954) wrote that the "settings, dialogue, characterisation and special effects are of a low order, but even their modest unreality has its charm. There is really no fault in this film that one would like to see eliminated. Everything, in its way, is quite perfect".[7]
