USS Puritan (M-1)

As if I don't have my hands full with Canonicus, I went ahead and started the first kit in my next series of models, the post war monitor USS Puritan. The Puritan was the first of four classes of large coastal monitors built in the 1890s. Most saw service in the Spanish-American war. Puritan was 296' long and served until the early 1920s. As always, 1/250 scale waterline. She's a lot more work than the other monitors since she has all those boats, davits, decks, vents etc. It's actually a nice change!
