Pepakura question

I am looking at getting Pepakura designer, but I want to know if I can export SVG files for editing in Inkscape. Currently, all my files are done as raster files, which is fine for small ships, but I'm working on a larger aircraft project and would like to have the versatility offered by vector graphics. I am looking into ways to get SVG files out of sketchup and pepakura is one of the options I am considering, but I couldn't find any clear information on their website. Thanks in advance.

Also, you can try looking up something (I forgot where I saw it) anout printing a high quality version of it - and exporting the PDF - which you they import into Inkscape. I tried it once (would have to look it up and I don't have time right now with a big test tomorrow) and it worked pretty well.

I haven't used this yet - but it appears to also have merit!

There's one other idea...

steveracz.com - Sketchup Cutlist and Layout
and another.

FYI, I don't have much time to do anything right now, but if you find that one works better than the others - let us know!

I'd seen the FlightsOfIdeas plug-in before, but it was incapable of exporting paths. The new release looks delicious, just have to figure out how to get it installed correctly. Hopefully he can get me on the right track. If it works, then I'll surely let you all know.

Ok, I got it working. It is a gorgeous piece of machinery, works wonderfully. Produces a 100% ready to use SVG file which can be edited any way you wish. I have found the holy grail at long, long last. Isn't that just a GREAT feeling? No more problems with raster graphics! Hallelujah! :D
