I'm not familiar with these planes. I was into jet fighters as a kid and WWII fighters as a plastic modeler (sorry), but these planes are beautiful( especially the Princess!!)!!

Although I did love my Airfix Vulcan.

Considering GP's usual precision this is a gotta' have. lookin' forward to it. thanks GP.

What will the scale be, Gary?

Don

PS: TexMan must not be following this thread, or he would never have let the typo "wings buried in the wings" for "engines buried in the wings" pass by.

I too would love to see both the Brabazon and the Saro Princess in paper- my preferred scale would be 1:100 or 1:50 for these.

I considered pointing it out, but decided to let it go

Speaking of Texman - this is one I'd consider building in his scale or smaller, I think

A bit more texturing done before we go on vacation!!!
As for the scale 1:72 might be too big(972mm wingspan) so I'm going for 1:144 (485mm)
See ya'llin a week

It's a beauty, Gary. I think 1/144 is the right choice -- big enough to show off the impressive appearance of the original aircraft but small enough to be displayed in an average house, manageable for us mere mortals, compatible with many other models of airliners -- and, of course, it will be a joy to Ray the Texman.
