The tire looks pretty nice if somewhat complicated to build. What scale is this puppy going to be? The prop looks to be about 1/33 to me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm following closely and like detailed models - I just see disadvantages and no advantage to your tire method, and maybe that's based on my skill level. Your wheel / tire does look nice

Your concern is definitely valuable.
I thought a bit about offering the wheels turned out of basswood. I sometimes cheat and use wood. After all, wood is just paper that hasn't been beaten to a pulp. |

I definitely will offer the full blown retina bender along with options.
This isn't a weekend build. It's meant to be part of a subscription. There is going to be a lot of internal structure. When I display my test build, I am not going to put the skin on it although it will be include. Others may skip the internal parts and just build it closed up. There are many good FW 190 models out there so I am pushing myself to do something different. I am thinking about doing a similar treatment to the Spitfire. |
