knowing nobi it will be 1:48ish - I did not specify a scale requirement though knowing how large of a subject it was

1/48 is okay - may be scaled down to 1/72 easily and can be scaled up to 1/33 if printing A3 sheets ;-)

I done a google of the Tu114 by Maly Modelarz and it came up with some sites that seem to mention it been scale 1:80. First time I ever seen mention of the scale of the plane I seen covers of it and sure could not make out if there was any mention of scale on them so 1:48 would be really good size for it.

I would have to say by initial glimpses of the airframe that a 1/33 version would be very flimsy unless you really consider heavy reinforcement.

Do the Tu-142. You have gray paint exterior, rather than bare aluminum, and a choice of nose configurations.
