Thanks guys! Glad you like it so far. I have finished this test build with adding some details so I can attach a sailing rig. I have just glued some thread where the ropes will go from what I have seen in research. Actually I have seen quite a few ways of connecting it all but this seemed the best way for build of ease and also for holding the mast properly in position.
So the next stage is to fix everything I have found during this build and add all the details that are still missing!

Starting my next and final build. I have added many options like ornament planks on the outside and more details on the inside. Also made an alternate raised deck part for the bow and stern and am going for color shields this time.
As a little extra I added optional parts to allow for removable/replaceable figureheads and am using the new alternate figurehead design. Next I need to add more missing parts. I want to go for a "docked" build this time where the mast and oars are stored on these holder parts I need to add. Slowly getting towards the final release

It's going to be a great kit with a lot of options.
It sure looks nice. Gary

Thanks Gary! I do love to add lots of options in case someone wants to build a whole fleet with different looking ships.

For gaming you might want a removable mast, so I added some stabilizing parts that I hope look as though they could have been built that way for real. I also added these "holder" T-shaped parts where the mast/oars could be stored when docking or when needing to hide the sail! (raid alert!)
With these details I think I am coming to the end of the design. I will start to check all the files, update the last bug fixes and missing stuff and then hope to get them in release shape soon!

The design is slowly coming to an end! I have added "Viking chests" which double as rowing benches for some more detail on deck and started taking pics of the final build.
You can see the the mast/sail-raised version and the tied-down-on-dock version. Now it's time to go through all the files, clean them up and get them in shape for a release soon
