difficulty with finding models
hello!
i'm not sure is this is right threat topic here or am i supposed to go somewhere else, but whatever. I've been trying to find many tanks and other vehicles in scale 1:87 or 1:100 for free, i've found so many trails of them but every time it ends up with no-longer working links, i've tried using wayback machine but it doesn't work. any advice ? |

A shameless promo + other usefull links
Hi, we make some 1:87 models from World War 2 on our website Models 1:87 ::
Rawen made 1:100 models both WW2 and modern, this is an old webpage, but feels better for looking at models you want to download Minimodels 1/100 :: Prmodels Minimodel https://www.minimodel.cz/en/ 1:100 a lot of mostly civilian, but look at authors FDS (Stryker APC, BRDM-2, Humvees, Gaz Tigr, M548, Renault Sherpa), Technik (mostly civilian vehicles, but were used in World War 2: Tatra 85 and 27, OA vz.30, hanomag gigant, mercedes L10000) Landships Landships II have a collection of quite exotic models: World war 1, interwar and Spanish civil war, the scale is often not quite certain, but they are often simpler and can be resized into 1:87 or 1:100 Boxstudio 箱之工房 - 紙戦車工房 beautiful but often quite difficult tanks in 1:72 Littlesoldiers has Universal Carrier and Renault R35 in 1:72 http://www.littlesoldiers.net/miniat...nault_r35.html http://www.littlesoldiers.net/miniat...l_carrier.html Satoshi Yoshioka's site is sadly dead, but this is an archive, that seems to be working for me: https://web.archive.org/web/20160801....jp/~yoshidom/ that is all I can think of, I believe all are legitimate sources of free models.

The scales on the Landships II models are stated - either in the heading or the text with the model.
There are a couple of Russian sites which have models in 1:50 which are easily scalable: Tinchik Model Industry -https://vk.com/docs-61798606 Robototehnik - https://vk.com/album-53733134_201381877 World of Tanks has a whole raft of 1:50 models but it's the .ru website not the others -https://worldoftanks.ru/ru/media/10/?page=1 Paperrepublik has a number of 1:50 tank models Military Regards, Charlie |

Sorry, yes, the Landships have the scale stated, either in the file, header or text on the page, each author does it in their own way

i have one question though, i've noticed in Yoshioka's models that there is a scale ruler for 1:100 too (they are made mainly in 1:72), but i'm not sure how to re-scale them |

You can change the scale in your printer settings. To print a 1/72 at 1/87 you will need to print the document at 83%. If you want to go from 1/100 to 1.87 you will need to print at 115%.
I use Foxit pdf reader and when you select print it will give you the option of scaling the output, and it is easy to use. Emil Zarkov :: ModelArt :: Card Models :: ZarkovModels Store has an easy to use scale calculator and also quite a selection of models Mike |
