Formula for spirals?

Okay I know this is on this site or the z place but i have no idea where to find it again.

Is there a formula or command for rhino or what ever to help in the creation of spirals? I'm thinking obviously of creating those small tubes by wrapping them around wire. I've just guessed in the past when making my landing gear tubes and I've come close enough no one ever called me on it but now I need to start at the wire diameter and build up to the correct diameter for the part and I want without the guesswork.

Yes, use the "Spiral Command", under "Curves".

Been there, still doing that.:p You probably know you can use the "Pipe" commander over the "Spiral" too, (just wanted to make sure).

Try this site out, JB Model.eu, under materials, hollow tubing, starting @ 0.3mm ext OD-0.1mm internal, sizes up to 1.2mm-0.96mm. We are talking as small as it comes for what you seem to be looking for. Hope this has helped. Oh yea, check the rest of the stuff out, you will not be disappointed. Have never had a problem with him, orders received w/in 2 weeks or less and well packaged. A great guy to deal with.:DRick

Yes it is, he also has very thin sheets of brass as thin as sheet paper, brass shapes that can be used for small mast on ships, and a whole assortment of brass made vessel hardware for about any application. He also has some of the best turned Aircraft barrels I have ever had, though the scale is 1/32, you can still use in the poplar build scale 1/33 for AC. As stated, check him out, if you build armor, aircraft and ships, you will not be disappointed.:DRick
