Guizhou JJ-7/FT-7 in 1:200 scale
I'm working on a Guizhou JJ-7/FT-7 in 1:200 scale. Here are some pics of the first test-build. I need to make a few changes to the rudder and ventral fins and I still have to design a landing gear and some fuel tanks.
Edit : added a pic with examples of my previous 2 generations of MiG-21 (1989 and 1994 respectively). Last edited by cafe; 07-23-2010 at 01:58 PM. Reason: adding a pic |

That looks like a long history of papermodelling... [before I was even born
The design looks fantastic, and 1:200 scale is quite small for an aircraft too

Thanks, Don and Janx.
I added the undercarriage. The "legs" of the main landing gear are too inclined. |

Slowly getting there. I corrected a few things and did the first colour scheme which... didn't print right (too light). :p But that's not really a problem for this specific aircraft.

I was testing the colour scheme for a pakistani FT-7P (#602 or 603) before trying it for real with Inkscape (and with correct colours).

I tried a different canopy, a bit wider for the instructor.
The difference is not really apparent... and I glued it in the wrong position (1 mm to the back). |
