I just try to think of the finished size at 1:200 that would be about 1.5ish feet long. Thats not overly large at all. I would bump it up a bit in size if you want to make adding details easier. People can always print smaller much easier than printing larger in any case - the joys of a digital model

i figured a way around getting the print into my computer without piecing together partial scans.

How did you get the plans into your PC. Either you have a very large scanner or used a camera.

yes i placed it on the floor and using a tripod took a high resolution photo, then tweaked it in my paint program.
